the wheel won't solve the problem of the encoder, in fact it may make it worse since it's heavier (probably not though).

however, it'd look really really badass, and it'd feel cold when you touch it...which would be nice.

No one on here is a fan of the 2kXL data wheel?? That was the smoothest and sensative wheel in my opinion. I'm still puzzled on why Akai didn't stick with this part. And yes the 2500 data wheel is wack!!! I thought I was the only one who thought this.

OK......OK......so while wii are on the subject of the data wheel....Which one do you prefer the 1000's wheel or the 2500's wheel?? ........(let's see where this take us).

simply because i've worked with it more and i know what to expect, the 1000's.

At least you can fix the sound, but the wheel takes a bit more effort to change. The only thing that I would prefer is the wheel to be incremental - maybe the JJ OS could fix that.

I really can't believe that this thread is going on so long esp seeing as everyone has had a **** about this already. It does the job, I guess I never used an MPC b4 the 2500 so I've got nothing to compare it to.
