Can't hear my keyboard.

Hey I am trying to connect my Roland Juno-D to my mpc 1000, and attempting to listen to and record my keyboard onto the mpc in Midi. I understand the dif between midi and audio. I heard that one of the new OS allows you to be able to hear the keyboard, because with the original OS you can't.

REALLY appreciate replies! Which OS is it and what settings do I have to change? Thanks

The 2.0 OS has input thru (not familiar with 3.0) in mixer mode. That means you can have external audio play along with the mpc and route it thru the mpc's effects. The 2.0 os manual is a pdf download on the Akai site. The midi in/out from Juno to mpc will allow you to record and play sequences on the mpc. The audio from both units must go to a mixer.
