i got the akai drive for free... there's some kind of rebate happening too i believe... and i purchased third party ram for less then half price and all works well... search the ram on this forum... i bought kingston... think it was like $60 with impatient shipping

LOL........is that 128 or 256MB?? I've been thinking of getting some ram for my 500. Last time I checked at GC the akai ram had dropped to like 90 $.

just drop the extra dough and get the Akai ram. don't mess with 3rd party stuff.
