I cant find this anywhere in the manual.Ok basically,is it possible to resample a loop i recorded with my MPC sequencer from my fantom keyboard sounds?I cant save the project with the same sound settings since the mpc sequencer only keeps the midi recordded. Is it possible?where do i go to resample

try resampling into the mpc with the keyboard outs to the analog ins. cut the metronome off and solo the midi tracks. you should be able to take that same loop and add it to the sequence like a regular sample :D

not to split hairs, but wouldn't this be plain old, honest to gawd sampling?

The other thing you should look at doing for this type of thing is using the program No. 1 as your program, and set your Fantom program and bank numbers there. Then you don't need to resample and it'll automatically play back the patch set in the MPC track.
It might seem a bit confusing at first but is really useful when sequencing outboard gear from the mpc.

alright umm...straight up...it doesnt work.I recorded a sequence with my fantom sounds-via my mpc's sequencer-.I proceded to go to the record section like the manual says.I pressed the record trigger and pressed play on the mpc to play the sequence i had just recorded with my fantom, and after i pressed stop, and play-NOTHING played. There must be something im missing.here is my setup:

Mpc midi out to fantom midi in.
Mpc midi in to fantom midi out

1 patch cord from fantom output to mixer.
1 patch cord from my Mpc stereo out to mixer.

sounds to me like you don't know what "resample" means. you're speaking midi and that has nothing to do with resampling.

I take it what your trying to do is get the loop your hearing when your running your mpc - triggering sounds in your fantomn, (does the fantom have a sequncer in it or anything like that? - could you play the seq as you hear it when its linked to your mpc without the mpc for example?) playing just from from your mpc as a sample and in theory you could then turn off your keyboard or whatever..

what other equipment are you using if any? How are you monitoring whats coming out of your keyboard

Im not sure if this will work but if you had an output from your keyboard into your stero in - could you not then just record the main out?? you may have to turn the input through on, on the mixer

if you have not got any other gear the only other way may be to record each part from your fantom into your mpc just as you would sample anything into the mpc

Do you have a patch cord from your mixer to the inputs of your mpc?
You'll need that... I think there's confusion over what you're trying to do here... if you're trying to record the outputs of the fanton into your mpc it's not "resampling", it's just sampling. Resampling is when you record the main outs of the mpc as a sample.

if hes just trying to sample from the fantom to the mpc, then he doesn't need any midi cables.
