when makin a beat, what i the most difficult part of it?

Try taking off quantise. You need to practice with it off though. It took me a while to get a soild pattern, but when you do it like this it gives a natural sounding groove. And just go into program and where it says MODE:NORMAL, turn that ish to SIMULT and where it says Also Play Note:, rotate the data wheel to select the other kick you got or whatever and it will trigger it for you. Lower the velocity on one and maybe filter the one your layering out a little. Just play around until you get some hot ish.

the hardest part of making beats for me is Saving my files so i dont loose them or miss place them. Plus i have to go through and trim for memory purposes, plus saving for other midi equipment gets really complicated.

Hey guys,be honest ...the hardest isn't to have talent and inspiration...;all the rest is only technical problems.....?

Thereis 2 things that are hard for me... Knowing when a mix down is finished has to be the hardest... I'l keep tweaking and tweaking, but I never know when to stop... Sometimes I even regret that it sounded better before I tweaked it... The other hard thing is gettin my drums to hit right... I like that real layered acoustic sound that exists only among downtempo producers like prefuse 73, rjd2, and herbaliser...But I can't get my shit to sound like that... I'm gettin better though

The hardest part for me would be.................I don't know............ don't you mean the funnest part. I have so much passion for production that it doesnt feel hard just fun. even when I'v spent hours finding that perfect sample or days getting the mix just right through my monitors. I like to check my mixes on every media player I can find to make sure it will knock when I hand out coppies of my songs to random ass heads, any place any time. the more exposure the betta.

Well, honestly keeping my originality is the hardest part. Not sounding like any other producer, especially when everyone's sampling from the same records almost... and even further than that, keeping my stuff not sounding like each other. I try to come up with as many styles as I can so that my beats don't sound like each other, I don't want a signature sound. You know how when you hear a premier beat or an alchemist beat or a neptunes beat or a timbaland beat and within the first 10 seconds of the song you can tell who produced it? I want each of my tracks to stand out and not sound like the ones I did before them and this is so friggin' hard to do.
