Changing tune and assigning to pads

This is my first (stupid) question.Suppose that I have a sample,and I want to change it's tune and assign it to all pads(each pad with a different tune),and play it from the pads as if I were playing it from a keyboard.So far I found out that I can do that in program mode,using the same sample and assigning it to the pads while changing its tune.Is there any other way?

see that button that says 16 levels? hit that and choose tune.

read about it on page 46 in the manual.

You can also highlight tune in the program menu. Press window then hit the f key under Auto. This creates an auto chromatic program. But it's different than the 16 level in that each pad has the same but individual samples.

LOL........do a search in the PDF manual "auto chromatic" it should come up and explain exactly how to use it.

Ok ok,no more stupid questions from now on.I have already learned the basics(and have a few beats completed:),from now on I will rtfm before I ask something

I wasn't really that stupid of a question don't be so hard on yourself. By the way if you haven't done so , download the PDF manual it has a nice search engine that can be used for finding pretty much anything.

Yep,already done that,but the auto chromatic search didnt came up with any results.

Wow your right!!1 Even if you read the manual all the way through(which I do suggest you do) you may not have remembered how to do the auto-chromatic assign....which is why it's always good to ask the "stupid" questions anyway.

Did you ever figure out how to do it??

Not yet to be honest.But the 16 levels button does the job.I am happy.
