Hi

I just got my MPC 1000 about a week ago. After struggling with midi connections from the Triton LE, MPC 1000, Tascam US-428, and the Mophatt i finally got everything to work mostly. The problem I am having is when i attempt to control the Mophatt from the MPC it will play the notes but if try to play the drums using the note repeat function the Mophatt produces all kinds of wierd sounds locking the mophatt up to the point i have to power it down.

Do I have something hooked up wrong.

Can i not use the note repeat function with the Mophatt :(

Is there an aleternate way of hooking the MPC to the Mophatt.

My Midi Setup:

MPC Out A to Triton In, MPC Out B to Mophatt in, MPC IN 1 to Triton out, MPC IN 2 to Tascam US-428 Out 1 (not even sure if i really need the last connection)

Thanks in advance for any help

Note On Note Off - sounds like your MoPhatt is not receiving the Note Off message - Look up the Midi Implementation on your MPC1000

I use my MPC1000 with the Extreme Lead - Haven't had this happen to me (Exactly) though, however my Extreme Lead locks up a midi note from time to time (maybe too many Midi messages at one time)

my protues 1000/vintage pro holds notes if i change the patch while holding down the note.

my juno 106 has trouble receiving note off messgaes.

how does this help? i have no idea :P but them's the facts

Ok now where do i find that? Also i just found out that the noise is from the tap tempo note repeat button itself.

If i press play on the MPC 1000 and hit the Note Repeat Button it makes noise from the mophatt without hitting a pad at all.

Maybe if i can get this fixed my problem will be solved.
