why is the usb function so limited ?

tired of taking the cable out every time, is there a way around this ? also does anyone know why it cant be left in and the disk open at all times to drag n drop samples at any time instead of going into mode/load/usb ?

download the new operating system bro... for real. USB is 1000 times better. (along with everything else too)

USB functions are very much improved in the JJ OS, but you still have to go into USB mode to use it. The issue is that a drive can only be hosted by one device at a time (in this case, either the MPC or computer via USB) so you still have to switch over from one to the other. Won't have to unplug it thou (THAT was annoying...).

excellent ! will be upgrading later on. i dont know how akai see it as acceptable that you have to remove the cable every time.

its obvious akai has a paycut and cant afford good programmers to make good software for there products.. they need to hire jj and dump whatever deals with numark... i see them as the anchor to a ship with a giant hole in it.. jj will save them all
