MIDI/time sync w/MBox1..impossible isn't it =0(

I'm kinda put out, I want to sync my MPC2000XL with ProTools so I can multitrack... but I looked online (I'm not near my setup right now) and the MBox1 does not have MIDI... Is there any workarounds at all? maybe something external that is equipped with MIDI and will interface with PTLE? or is the first MBox just that limited?

You could get a MIDI Interface like a Midisport 4X4. Or you could get the Mbox 2 pro that has Midi built in. The Mbox 2 pro is also firewire which helps on the latency side of things. But it's way more expensive.

Hey thanks for the reply. Yeah, the MBox2 is not really an option, they cost more than I'm willing to spend. So do you know for sure if I picked up an M-Audio Midisport 4x4 that i could run that and my Mbox1 at the same time? So I'd have MIDI capability while in ProTools?

BTW, i run a Mac Powerbook so anything I'm using would have to be usb.

yes, i use an mbox1 along with a MidiSport 1X1 to sync and multi track my MPC Classic and it works good for me. Mbox1 can only record 2 tracks at the same time so i have to track each sound one at a time. might as well just get yourself a midi interface, it will be worth it.
