Sync in Cubase

well putting blank bars at the beginning of your song has been common practice since the mpc60 when syncing to an external source. it's always gonna take a second for 2 machines to sync up perfect, but the fact that the mpc2500 plays early after it locks when syncing is pretty lame and akai should definitely fix this problem.

I think that putting blanks bars will make us lose time if we want to work effectively,ok may be if you want to record all the song in one time,may be it will help you,but if you want to re-record a detail of your song,you'll have to take a look back everytime to make shure that the blank bar are incerted...I hope that Akai will fix that problem...

do you use song mode? why not just make a 2 bar blank sequence and put that in your song? save it that way and it will always be there.

and it's not an akai problem. it takes a second (or fraction) for any two machines to sync with one another. some things are just a fact of life.

Yes, a fact of life that doesn't happen to any other of my 15 sequencers and drum boxes.
