How Do I Make Akai Formatted CD's?

I have an MPC 2k Classic with a SCSI CD drive.... how do I make akai formatted disc to load up on my MPC2k?

im wantin to know this aswell, i looked at the disk2file and to me it says you need to connect an scsi device to your computer, maybe im reading it wrong.

im wantin to sort my cds into folders so that i can have kicks, snares, claps and percussions in different folders instead of having 100s of files all together in one long list. is that the only way of doing it, using disk2file

Note: If you are using an mpc2000 it CANNOT read folders. The XL can though.

im using a 2kxl, how exactly do you make the cds with disk2file, do you put all the files on the cd then use the software or do you do it a defferent way

On the 2kxl it's dead simple burn a cdrom on your computer with wav files on and you're set. The 2kxl can read the isosomethingsomething standard cdrom format.

are you sure!!?? i got the 2kxl and i cannot load any .wav cd´s
maybe i´m burnin with the wrong iso image does anybody know the right NAME of the image or format or whatever i have to put on that disc....??

I use Nero 7.2.7.0 but you should be able
to use this method/opions with several other burn programs.

Data Mode -- 1
File System -- ISO 9660, Joliet
File Name Length -- Max of 11 = 8+3 characters level 1
Character Set -- ISO 9600 standard ISO CD-Rom

Afterwards they should load with no problem into your 2kxl, NOT 2k.

2k cd's need to be in an Akai disc image, the details are here in the forums somewhere on several past threads, dig them up.
