yo i just got my mpc 1000 and finally got 2 tracks i like and now i want to put them on my computer at high resolution and what i understand is that you have to record the sequence in record mode

so i convert my sequences in 1 song and then play it but while im playing some samples cuts off ! it begins but just stops for no reason but when i play it in song mode withouth that i convert it to song it works perfectly !

i also sometimes have this while im hitting like for example a hi hat on the pads and i make it go real fast like tik tik tik tik tik tik it cuts of another sample

i usualy fix it by changing the name of the sample and then it works egain but it **** sucks its like its a bug or something

o yes and if you copy all the files you have on your mpc and put them on your computer and then erase the files on your memory card
and put them back on egain via your computer does the mpc still have the possibillity to egain play the track and load up the project files and all samples ?

can anybody help me im kinda going mad

no offense fam, but this post is hard as hell to read. you gotta learn to use some punctuation, but that aside.....

i don't use a 1000, i use a 2000xl, either way i seriously doubt that the file name has anything to do with it. it's more than likely a polyphony problem, atleast that's what it sounds like to me. i guess if you had two samples with the same name it could happen.

as far as the memory card thing goes, i don't see why you wouldn't be able to load those programs that you backed up to your computer.

IMO, technology just causes more headaches...I'M A SIMPLE BASTARD!!!

hope this help fam...if not, go to the MPC1000 thread and voice your problem there. i'm sure someone over there will help you out.

be forewarned though, the first reply will probably be "READ THE MANUAL" which i hope you have already done.

...Now, go forth young grasshopper and do well :D

check your params in program mode. set it to poly instead of mono.

you can also adjust poly/mono for each individual pad.

but yeah, definitely study up on that manual. It houses most of the answers, you just have to know how to find them. :)
