is 3.06 stable enough to use until i switch to 4.0 or should i just stay with 2.01! also in 3.06 is direct record buggy and how about track mutes as well.Im wanna try 3.06 since its free. i can save with 3.06 :?

Yes. Most of 4.XX architecture and abilities are present in 3.06 version. But 4.XX is more powerfull and easy to use.

install 3.06 and backup all the contents of your HDD to your computer, format the HDD (you need to do that), then bring the files back from your computer.

the file corruption is from the akai 2.10 os. whatever files you can recover is what your left with. theres no reparing them, to my knowledge. all you can do is follow that method and you'll start over on a clean slate... without any more file coruption. :)
