Uumm...what interface are you using?

I assume you want to use the MP to control cubase, right?

MIDI A (or B) out to ???(interface) in.

You gotta' give more details to get more info.

Sorry for the small amount of info, im using an Edirol UA-25 interface which has Midi In and Out as well as stereo audio inputs. I dont really know much about syncing the two but i basically want to establish a sync between the two so that enables myself to be able to use them fluently in conjuction with one another. I guess this would mean using the MPC to control Cubase then yeah. Just curious what would i be controlling via the MPC to Cubase then? And is it possible to sync the two so that drum patterns created on the MPC are shown in Cubase as Midi. Im pretty new to all this so forgive my lack of knowledge in it all :D.
Thanks again people.

hey dude,

i got the same shizzy yo, that lil ua-25 ain't too bad!
i haven't messed with the sequencing side - i.e. recording
yr mpc sequences as midi info into cubase.

but i've managed to sync the two up, get the mpc to trigger
cubase to play and vice versa. often stopping cubase won't make
the mpc stop, but the other way round works fine.

you need to go to the 'transport' menu i think...
i'm not at home right now, but i'll give you proper details
later yo.

hold on bro, help is at hand...

yeah dude,
forgot to follow up on this!
i'm at work again, so i can't recall exact details...

but it works real nice man. its USB 2.0 so it's as fast as
firewire 400 (i think) and the pre-amps are super clean,
and sound fine, if perhaps a touch dull, as a lot of the digi
stuff is.

it works no probs as a midi interface, but i haven't used
it to it's full extent as i've just been havin a hardware party
lately.

but it has no problem with sync as slave or master, and can
the do the sys ex bundle bizzo, if ya can figure it out (i still
can't really. gotta do some more reading up on MIDI) and all
the MIDI pre-reqs.

for a small, entry-level interface it works fine.
