it would be fine to have a better distortion with grain control....

I would be so happy to be able to control in real time things like cutoof frequency andresonance on filters or real time effects (delay level,...). Two q-link, that's not enough and with an external midi controller (evolution for example), I could increase my live interractions with the machine.

Do you agree ? You think it's possible ?

Big up again to this knowledge base !

yes that's what i said a few pages back.. but i guess not much people use this machine live :(

come on guys, everybody with Tchenn :)

i agree completely with tchen, we need a lot of faders and knobs
for live control !!!!!!! i think it must be possible to implement ext
controls per midi....!!! it s only the software.....but akai s monopol
would be decreased if they re doing somethink like this... the mashine would be too perfect .....on the other side, midi timing can be affected as midi is slow performing multiple controller datas....

word to the admin: somebody should make this thread sticky and delete the other posts after TANK copies the other feature requests into his list, so nothing gets lost. Future ideas for new features should then be send via PM to tank, so he can just host the feature list. Of course this can only work if he is willing to do this work...

PEACE

something in the mixer window to let you know what damn pad is playing after i do a few tracks and i go to mix i sometimes forget and have to go back and look up which pad i played. Something to show me when the note on of whatever pad i used.

sonic> why don't you look in grid edit mode?

a simple feature, when you have very very long sample just a marker to know where the sample is playing.

MY biggest wish is a bugfix:

DELETING INTERNAL MEM does not work:

- MODE + LOAD
- Select INTERNAL in LOAD FIELD
- Press WINDOW
- F2 for FORMAT >>>>> nothing happens

i just posted this somewhere else, but it seems to fit here.

in trim mode, i want to be able to set the start and end points and press play. this way i can sit back and feel the loop before moving on.

it would be cool if u can see the mixing levels in the mixer. Like a lil monitor to let u know if ur clipping or not for each pad sample

you could bypass this by starting up your mpc and load one small sample(like a hat) and assign it to a pad and then go to mode + load en press save to internal memory(all programs, all sequences etc) : the memory starts to delete everything(erasing sounds or something).. oh yeah, except for the small hat but who cares about that. just make sure you dont have your autoload on your internal memory. good luck

If they clip you´ll most likely hear it and it´ll leave you no doubts with whats going on.

AFTERTOUCH!

The MPD16 and 24 have it, and it would make the 1000 a much better sequencer IMHO...

I always wondered why MPC pads with proper pressure sensitivity never made use of it!!!

SonicLabsAudio wrote:i dont know if its possible of even a thing to consider but i would love to have level adjusting meters in the mixer screen ( ie shows them adjusting to the velocity like a meter bridge does ) not just for mixing but to know what track is doing what. i hate it when i have a kit pulled up and i forget whitch pad i hit then i have to go throuhg and try them all to find it ...... drives me crazy.

word!
i've been hoping for a variation on this for sometime,

it would be very useful to have a level meter on each track block/cell (in track mute mode), it could be a 1 or 2 pixel thick activity/level meter at the bottom of each active track block/cell, that pumps left to right (horizontally) to show anything that may be occuring in the track. it wouldnt take up much space either.

and there are more ways of showing this level meter thing : ie, the whole track block/cell could have a level meter that pumps up n down BEHIND the track name (in inverted tone so not obscuring the name field).
