Midi Controller and 1k question

thanks again. i'm not sure what i'll end up deciding.

there is a bunch of stuff that i will eventually need but i think this would be a good start.

I have the MAudio Uno too. Works fine. I have the Emu Xboard49 hooked up just like they were saying, and I use reason.

anyways, can i just use a universal A/C adapter like you get from bestbuy on that thing?

like one of those ones that has the different tips for each voltage?

or is there a specific one that i should use?

yes i believe that will work, make sure you get one that can provide the current needed though. personally i'd power it over usb, the midi out will still work, you then just need to have the midi out on your mpc to the midi in on your other interface, and choose that one in reason/other program.

i had it hooked up just to Reason and that thing is real nice.

was definitely digging it.

so i can plug the Novation in USB and have it midi'd out to the mpc at the same time?

i still just want to sequence reason sounds on the MP.

well, i think it should work, just make sure you have the other midi in selected in reason, NOT the remote, that way, it'll recieve the midi info sent from the mpc too. try it and see, you can't blow anything up*

I have jjos2 and I am using the auto chromatic feature to play a bass note sampled on my mpc1000 with my keyboard. I want to use my mod wheel to control the lfo on the sampled bass. has anyone been able to do this?

yeah it does so for me. If i use the mod wheel or pitch wheel on another midi device it will effect that track selected.
Of course for modulation you need to set on the LFO in GPE

Just to be clear, what parameter in the program does the modwheel affect when you use it on a selected track? is it a midi track or drum track? Also i'm not sure what you mean by GPE

pitch wheel effects pitch
mod wheel effects modulation - in this case LFO.
Unless you are using JJOS and have it set to multitimbral then yes, active track only.
If it is midi it usually is for external synth ect, so that is not so relevant here in this case as we are talking about MPC.
If it is for drum track then MOD wheel defaults to LFO of program on that track.
You know how to set the LFO right?
If not go to your global program edit (GPE) window and set it up for that sample you want effected. I have everything off at the moment so can not check default behaviour for you.

Every sample can have LFO for AMP PITCH or FILTER > set it up for what you want LFO to do and off you go.
