I need help fixing a bad button

I am having trouble with my right cursor button it does work but i have to press it extremly hard. this is bad because i like to chop on the mpc. i was thinking could i unsolder a working button for the curcit board and replace the right cursor.

would this work or totally ruin my faulty button?

call VST, get the Parts department, and order a new button encoder. you can solder it in there no problem. the encoders cost 8 bucks. ask for nick. when it comes in the mail, send me a pm, i'll give you more info.
