MPC1000 OS problems!

I've got an mpc1000 and I recently updated my OS to the latest official OS - 2.10. Now all my beats that i made with the original OS load up wrong - the volume levels are all messed up!!! I need to go back to the original OS but i don't know what it is or if it's still available. The oldest OS on the akaipro site is 1.07 but i'm sure the 1000 came with an older OS as i bought it way back when it was still pretty new. I need to go back to the old beats as they were when i made them because many of them are for songs that need to be recorded and mixed asap. Can anyone help me out? HOLLA!!!!

Yep, when the new OS came out it increased the max. volume level of samples from 70 to 1100, so thats why yer volumes are messed up. Downgrading to 1.7 will sort it out. Then you can put os 2 back on and manually sort out the levels.

So OS 1.07 will be cool yeah? Was that the OS it came with when it was first released? Thanks for that fam! Peace...

You're gonna be loosing some features if you go back to 1.07... I would just manually re-mix if I were you (either in the mixer, or with levels in the program screen.

True. But once i get them all laid down i can go back to OS 2.10. I would've put them all down before i upgraded if i'd known the deal! I've got so many beats to go through, with mad layers and ish, it'll take ages to do it manually!

The problem you are having has to do with differences between V1 and V2: different versions of V1 will not produce this problem. The only thing you would get from installing a pre-1.07 OS is more bugs. I went through just about all of them when they were current so trust me -- you don't want to install anything that came out before 1.07. Ugh!
