when i try sampling, the left and right inputs are not matching. the left one is always much louder than the right.

the right one never goes higher than the midway point while the left one peaks out. i've tried the mpc out on different setups so i know its the box.

is there an option to make it match or is there something wrong with the box itself?

What is your signal like ? Is it coming in at the same level on the left and right channel?

switch the l/r cables and see if the problem switches as well, if so then you can look elsewhere for the problem, try different cables, etc....

This is pretty obvious but make sure your source isn't panned. I know I've missed that on drunken sessions before. And if its not panned, might as well pan it to the point where it evens out. If its actually clipping in the middle, something sounds very wrong inside.

i've tried new cables, didn't help and i checked the pan too

the left channel works like normal, but the right one maxes out at around 25% way through.

thanks for the pg numbers but i've read it already and it doesn't help.

i'm just gonna have to record the sample on mono l i suppose

Yeah the same thing started happening to me... It was the needle connection on the turntable. Try another sampling source. If still doesnt work Im sorry but it seems your box is headed to the fritz
