and what came into my my mind was a MagnetoOptical Drive.
i heard that MO media are one of the most reliable storage media ever.
any experiences anybody?
The MPC60 has no OS support for control of MO drives.
Possible working MO drive solutions imply the more intelligent types that present to the BUS as regular removable SCSI storage devices. IE: ones that do not require any device specific or unique SCSI commands to initiate erasure and such.
Just a thought but try anyway and report yes/no as appropriate.

thanks rohan,
when i get my scsi board i´ll give it a try!
i saw some on ebay which are really cheap, so i think it´s really worth a try! but, is there something in the specs of a drive that tells me that it presents to the BUS as regular removable SCSI storage device?
i´m not so into that scsi-thing!
btw rohan, i saw on another thread you are also repairing mpc´s!
i´d like to know if you ever saw or repaired a mpc60 which had the same problems i described in my other thread.
