I can't work my MPC

Well.....................not entirely true i can work it..............but i havent bothered to learn everything the machine can do.

I even bought the e-book from the site with the intention of learning my MPC inside out.................but started it and never finished it

Problem is wen i sit down to read up on a new thing, and put it in to practise, the urge to make a beat gets the better of me and i end up banging pads and chopping loops...............

Now i've had a lot of good feedback on my beats so im obviously doing something right. Which makes me think i shud take the time to learn everything so my good beats can become even better

I also have had a Korg x50 for about 2 months that i havent even begin to start using

Think it's time to get up off my ass.

reading manuals is over rated. you say you're making good beats what's the problem?

i don't know how to use the spreadsheet but i can watch porn on the internet so i don't really care about reading the manual for this computer. feel me?

horrible example. those two things are completely unrelated, whereas reading the manual for his MPC will actually help him. i say just bite the bullet now, and get over the technical aspect of the MP one way or another. whether it's the product manual, the e-book, or even an instructional dvd.

but he's not entirely wrong though... and neither is the original poster.

what you need is to stop worrying, sometimes you explore and experiment... then you read some more... then you experiment some more...

this all takes time, so much that you can afford to worry about weither you are doing it "right" =)

ie.: you need to kick yo ass more than you need to worry about the need to kick your ass =P

I couldn't have said it better myself.

As long as your doing something whether reading the manual or messing around, the end result is you learning more about your MPC.
