My Pc Software play the Akai Song not right.

Soooo,here is my problem.

When I make a Song with the Mpc,I save it as a Midi file,and put it via Usb on my Computer Desktop.Thats works fine.
But when I run the Midi file with Windows Media Player or Winamp,he is playing that Song,but with the wrong Samples.

The arangement is right,but the samples he play are not that samples that I program on my mpc.

PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!!!

why would u try to do that....why dont you get software like protools and track your beats

Also when I Import that Midifile in Cubase,he play the wrong Samples.

Dude, a .mid is just a set of notes to play. In order to play the right sounds you have to play the .mid through a sequencer which is controlling the particular sound sources which have the samples you want.

IE, bring the .mid into Cubase, connect the MPC to Cubase via MIDI cables and set your MIDI track in Cubase to the correct port for the MPC, it will sound correct up to one program set. (the MPC 1000 is not multitimbral for more than a single program at a time as far as external sequencers are concerned, a topic that has been much discussed already)

As strongarm suggested, either record the audio straight into Cubase, or resample your beats into the MPC1k using the "record main outs" and copy the resultant .wav to your computer for further processing. You can effectively multitrack this way by muting the tracks you don't want in each resampled .wav.

I use Sonar 2 for my sequencer but they all work basicly the same. You need a cord to go from your Stereo Out or Digital out on your mpc1k to the line-in port on your sound card. Then on you Cubase Im sure there is a record function(which you have to figure out on your own), I only know how to use Sonar. I hope this helps
