I thought this would be fixed...but it appears that if you paste a phrase library item into a track and select "replace" it just merges the data...you hear a phase-shifting of the duplicated audio...damn.

That mean to use the phrase library you have to ERASE any data in the track at the point your're going to be pasting to, and then paste. ..otherwise you get the merge -

Can someone confirm this..assuring that I'm not doing something wrong..

or is there a better way around this someone has found?

Yes this is true. I glad some one else has noticed this. I posted this a long time ago but got no replies. I even emailed Akai and didn't get a reply.

This is a bit of a pain - I have not found an easy way around it...though you can "work around" the problem.

Has anyone else -

Man, ya kno what? I neva had any problem with this but yesterday it happened to me when I was copyin' and pastin' some drums patterns, neva when copyin' bass lines, synths gimmicks, etc. After tryin' different copies, I found it only happens when I'm copyin' all pads from the drum grid editor. Pastin' don't matter. It's ez to work around: now I copy only selected pads from the drum grid editor or I copy all pads from the step list editor or the piano roll editor. Works perfect! 8)

Well Black it depends really...but it ultimatley revolves around pasting to a new track and then deleting the original. Or, staying within the same track...erasing the measures (clearing data from) you're going to paste to , and then piecing it together like that. It does kinda suck that there is a merge when it should be REPLACE!

I'm new here, and I wonder if there's an AKAI guy reading this forum. How are bugs like these reported? I know about Sean on the EZboard forum, but I haven't seen him here yet.
