i like the mutes, the realtime perc-pad aspects of this machine,
it does lack all the realtime cc control, i also use faderbox with knobs to tweak the nord synth,

but would love to be able to mess with the mpc in the same way, live prog changes, seq selection, fx changes n tweaks, filter, loop mod, pitch, reverse and loads more are possible, if only jj can fit external midi ctrl to the mpc!!!

i wish you luck, because i always thought that emu built the most versatile samplers ever!

this mpc is ace, but its stiff as a board when compared to the parameters available on the emu's, although the audio out on the akai is stronger imho.

the 'whole' function should still apply when the filter or amp env is displayed (mode+pad11), i want to apply the same settings to the whole program.

i mean 'mode'+'pad11' then 'window' while focussed on the env parameter.

i'd really like the ability to duplicate my sequence bars from the main menu with a single button or shift + button (rather than going into sequence edit).
So basically if you have a 2 bar loop, select the bars field press window or something, to double it into 4 bars.

Kinda like the different track loop lengths mentioned before, but probably easier to implement.

Cosign on the midi control discussion, but just to have the ability to control mpc track volume or velocity offset via midi cc's would pure hotness (if it doesn't fugg up timing that is) !

nice idea indeed... take this sampler beyond tofu status. mpcs have never been more than vanilla plain, what you hear is what you get boxes. this is what makes you concentrate on the rhythm and not so much the patch imo but i find myself wanting to get an older ensoniq just for the patching writing part... maybe the tweaker in me...

what I would like is in the chop screen......have the ability to preview chops by pressing on the pads rather than using the scroll wheel.....that would be fresssssshh!!
You would be able to work out and play with how your chops before they are chopped...uknowwatImsayin???-ced80

u should be able to save all tracks as seperate wav files onto ur mpc and then go thru the USB view mode and just swap em off onto ur comptuer-waxmastawes

when assigning samples to a pad from the RAM.. i dont like how i gotta turn the data wheel sooo much when i have lots of samples... i would like to turn it backwards and get to the end that way yeaaa that would be smooth. - Rise

Yeah, I agree with you all the way. If my cell-phone (which is far from top-of-the-line) can do this with my phone number list, then I'm sure it can be done on the JJ OS.

Although I'm waiting on my newly purchased MPC1000 with JJ OS to arrive and haven't messed with it yet, one feature I'd like to see in the 1k if it doesn't already have it is an AUX envelope generator that I could route to pitch like on my MPC 4k. That would be awsome for TR808 kicks with long decays. If it's not in the 1k, I have work around solutions. However, this would still be a great feature to have.

man, all these ideas are good.

i wish there was a program converter... like lets say you have like 10 programs with 400 samples. you just hit an option and itll set up the sequence and track data according to the samples you use. so youll end up with 1 program up to 64 samples. and auto delete the ones that arent used to save on memory.


just thinking of those times just going on a sample frenzy. and running out of space...
