Midi/Drum track separation

When I write a drum track and then start to record Midi tracks, the selected Midi track sounds like Piano for instance will start playing over the drum sounds.
It seems like the separation between drum and Midi is not established.
It was not always like this , I may have selected a function that is causing this.
Any Ideas??

You gotta turn drum1 to MIDI beforee you record and use 1a (or whatever your ish is on) If you turn on 1a in S:DRUM1- in the track area it will play the pad and the synth or whatever is midi'd.

you have also got to switch to track 2 then follow binger's advice
