I AM WAITING FOR MY MPC1000 + 3000 SAMPLES FROM HIPHOPTOOLS.COM BUT I HAD SOMEONE WHO BOUGHT FROM THERE TELL ME THAT THERE ARE NO PGM FILES ALONG WITH THE SAMPLES.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO CREATE PROGRAMS FOR THE SAMPLES YOU ASSIGN AND PULL UP THE PROGRAM LATER SO ALL THE SAMPLES WILL BE THERE?

IVE READ THE MANUAL ONLINE AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS POSSIBLE, BUT THEN WHY IS THERE A SEPERATE MPC PROGRAM CREATOR FOR THE PC.
MY COPY IS EXPIRED AND I HAVENT EVEN GOTTEN MY 1000 YET. I SHOULD HAVE IT DELIVERED TO ME IN A FEW DAYS AND I HAVE READ MUCH OF THE MANUAL SO I KINDA KNOW WHAT ALL THE BUTTONS DO.
I AM SOO EXCITED ..THE SAMPLES SHOULD BE SICK AND IM GONNA LAY IT DOWN NO MATTER WHAT BUT I HOPE RECORDING SAMPLES DOESNT SLOW ME DOWN.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GET BACK TO ME ABOUT PROGRAMS.

There's a seprate MPC 1000 PGM creator available through MIDIcase or www.mpc1000.com, and it is free, last I heard. It has features for the 1000 that were not present in the older version, such as layers, etc.

Putting together programs with pre-existing samples is quicker on the computer screen, but in my opinion if you're creating new samples and not editing on the computer it's sometimes faster to use the pads themselves. Try both.
