yeah it happens to me, its because your cutting the sound off when its not on a zero crossing point. I dont know how you can fix it unless you import your bass track into a DAW and manualy delete the clicks.

I have this problem on my MPC 602, OS 3.10, when I use a bass note with note off and 16 level it to play a bass line there is a popping noise when I let go of the pad. Does anyone else get this? Thanks

I don't know about the 3k/60 BUT in params in the 2kxl there is a attack fade and a decay. Is there the same envelope option in those machines? If so, don't set the attack to 0 and don't set the decay to 0. Try increasing attack (sample start) by 1 or higher until the pop/click goes away. And for the decay, try setting it to 1 or higher until the pop/click goes away. As for when you let the pad go, you are letting the pad go when NOT at a zero cross point (imo impossible when manual live/realtime) so you get pops/clicks due to sudden/sharp increases/decreases in waveform volume.
