New JJ Os For The 2500 Is Here. Check It Out.

well yes and no I bought it over 2 years ago and never used it then when we plugged it in its not working so we put it in a shop and got the 2500 I like this one so im thinking about keeping it so im jsut wondering if me getting all the extras is worth it....im gonna sell th 4k if so that why i asked about the new OS v3 jj, cuz the 4k OS is not that stable anyway....

WTF is up with the pitchshift timing out? There isn't even a purchasable version avalible! Stupid.

The MPC 4000 OS is stable enough to use for music production. Why do I say that? Because there are plenty of people that use them today in studios all over.

Is the JJ OS worth it? Its FREE. I don't know if it will damage your MPC in some way..but I am guessing that your MPC should be fine. Personally, everything that JJ has added..I can live without.

However, I am impressed by the real-time pitch shifting. But it doesn't work after 5 minutes of turning the unit on. What this is (I am guessing) is the JJ hook. This feature is good enough for many 2500 users to fork over $30 for. So congrats JJ...you will be making a little more change. Maybe you can get a job at Akai


I wonder is real-time time stretching is next The #1 feature of similar products made by the rival company.

I am not really sure what this meant...but I ran through some rap vocals and used the pitch shift function. Impressive...

what the heck is it?? Is there a problem or bug that they have found???

It is just saying to re-format your hard drive with the new OS if you run into any problems.

....and I hope you guys didn't think that this OS would be bug free?

Has nothing to do with being bug free, has to do with the fact that Akai had already said you should reformat your drives to whatever OS you were running.
Now JJ has updated his site to say do the same for file problems.

Re-formatting the drive has nothing to do with bugs...

But the OS is not bug free....

Hey just need a little feedback here.

Lets say I upload the JJ OS and there is some kind of a problem with my mpc(i.e. won't power on or freeze's up at boot up everytime) and I have to send it in to akai. Will my warranty still be valid If I mail it in with the JJOS on it ?? I don't think so.
