Hi,
I looked for posts on this issue for a while, but couldn't find anything.
I haven't used my MPC2000xl in a while and when I hooked it back up I can't seem to load anything into the RAM. It shows the memory as ok on the screen and when I run a memory test, it claims it's ok. However, every time I put a zip in and try loading up a sound it says "not enough memory". It loads the APS and MIDI files fine so I know it's not the zip. I opened it up and tried resetting the two ram sticks and cleaned it out a bit, but it didn't solve the problem.
Another clue is that the last time I tried to use it about 1 year ago, I got it set up and when I tried loading and sampling things the samples were all crackly and messed up. I didn't have time to address it until now.
i think the ram has died. What do you think? Does this happen?
Thanks for your response.
