JJ deserves a lot of respect.

aKai unfortunately just did a half assed job with the software, it is evident now MORE THAN EVER!

why don't they have a PC/MAC software to transfer the sounds to it yet. C'mon!

why did the MTC not work properly? it works well now!

Half-assed job aKai...

huh? what do you need that for? the computer recognizes the 2500 as an external drive, you can just drag and drop folders and sounds. what's better than that? you want to be able to create the programs on the computer and transfer them along with the sounds or something?

why stop there? why not create your sequences on the computer, and then transfer that over to the mpc as well?

I just insalled the new OS 3.02 and I have old sequences where tracks mute randomly, without touching anything... any suggestions ?

???

OS updates everyday....yeah, to fix what was broken. I wonder what feature was fixed...and which feature that worked is now broken?

You know I enjoy playing devil's advocate

So of you are hilarious. The idea is to have a fully functional MPC. Not to keep finding problems that need to be reported and fixed. Personally..although I joke, I really don't mind because I am odd like that. But is that what you spent your last dollars on? Trouble shooting MPCs rather than creating music ???

Also, has anyone else noticed that the JJ OS keeps getting smaller however so slightly?

OS
3.00 874kb
3.01 873kb
3.02 866kb

I wonder what is being removed, if anything?

dont know why this is happening, but erase the track mute events and everything should be fine again.

After you record an audio track (Tracks 61-64)..if you go to Sample Trim/Edit menu...adjusting the sample start position doesn't seem to make any changes to the recorded audio as it plays back. Changing the end position of the sample will result in immediate changes.

Also, you can route audo tracks to all 10 MPC 2500 outputs now..however, you can not do this while the sequence is playing unlike all the other functions.

Go To function still doesn't work.

JJ wrotye:
10. [Bugs]
The bug of SAVE, MTC, and other many is corrected.

1. Bug of save...never lost anywork with the 'official' Akai OS
2. MTC, have yet to try this out with the new JJ OS
3. Now, if you are going to take credit for fixing something, at least write what you fix and not let people assume/imagine

It takes a h*ll of a lot more than a 886k file to make a MPC.
I still don't know if the JJ team consist of ex-Akai or current Akai employees.
The lack of legal actions for the hack tends to say the situation is not all that it seems.
Either way the 2500 still is a good box.
JJ could use some lessons in screen clutter and organization.
Some of the screens really help you to understand why Akai uses the shift button to get to other functions.
