WTF  Folks...don't be mislead. I've been around this game too long to even think of given in to a bunch of BS about not needing a decent pair of monitors. Actually you need more than 1 pair to do a decent mix. You know, I was once like that where I thought that you could get by without having to purchase monitors. Hell...what I found out was I was turning more into a bedroom junky and did'nt need to do the things that are governed by the book. I started out using my home stereo as my core setup and thought I was the sh*t. Why do you think there's classes & schools on this matter (other than to squash away the crazy notions). Get with the program ppl.

The book is always the best way to go, and 9 times out of 10 it is probably the most expensive way to go.(If were talking gear, right?)

When you first got into this game did you just go dumping mad cash on everything that someone told you that you needed, probably not. It is a learning process that takes time, experience, and well trained ears to move from stage to stage in this game.(not to mention cash)

Speaking of dumping mad cash on everything that someone tells you that you need; I know a guy who did just that, I mean he blew an incredible amout of money on a full pro-tools setup, pc, mpc 2500 and all kinds of other gear that he wasn't even ready to use. Now he's stuck with all this gear and he's feeling really overwhelmed. Had he just started slow, taken his time and delevoped his skills in the little things of music production he probably would be enjoying himself right now. My point for saying all of this is that people should take their time and not rush to get something because the next man tells them to, take your time and advance when your ready to do so.

You really have some good things to say, but I think that in your mind you feel that you have arrived so you come off a little condescending.

P.S don't get me twisted here, a decent pair of monitors is definitely a must have when your funds permit. :D

Try your local quitar center. I'm almost positive I've seen them there before.

i dont wanna sound like a music-snob, but it's not that hard to learn how to make chords... it would be easier and a lot more cool to do it that way 8)
