Midi Question...i Need Help

Okay, i just signed up on here,although i have had my mpc for about 4 or 5 years now. Anyway, i've been making tracks and recently got a triton extreme keyboard.I've made some hot tracks using it but noticed that after i've used a sound on the triton for one track(while the midi's are connected), if i try to use another sound for a different track it changes the sound for the first track.How do i get it so that i can use different sounds for each track without having to use the same sounds. I have the midi in correct, so whats next?All help is appreciated.I have searched this site high and low and couldnt find any help.Thanx.

One of the easist things to do...

As you switch tracks on the mpc.
Switch tracks on the midi device on the mpc.

And you have to also switch tracks on the triton in Multi mode

The easier thing to do is to just sequence whatever you are doing from the triton in the triton sequencer itself...

To switch the triton midi tracks....hit the global button, then the menu button....then click midi on the screen and it is at the top!!!!

i was doing pretty good up until the multi mode.Where do i go to locate the multi mode?Thanks again for all of your help.

i've tried everything but still when i change the sound on the triton, the sound changes for track 1 and i dont want it to.i've held off makin a beat for a day and i'm so anxious to finish but ran into this brick wall of a problem.If someone could be as kind as to walk me through what i need to do i would really appreciate it.thanks.

i have switched the tracks on the triton in multi mode but it stopped the sound completely from track 1 on the mpc.

I always place 16 instruments into my triton extreme tracks.
In Triton I assign a midi number for each triton track, 1-16.

In my MPC (Master) I just dial into that midi track via device/midi number.

Don't switch tracks once you record to them, your seq's will play with the same old patterning but the played back sound will be the new instrument you choose..

okay im starting to understand it now..you said dont switch tracks once i record to them what do you mean by that?also how do i assign a midi number for the tracks in triton..and thanks again for the help.im in the middle of making another track and need some sound from the triton but can only use one because if i change the sound its going to change it for track one.so get back at me when u get the chance and thanks again
