can some one ask them to put back the ability to load a sample and add it to the pad in the load screen? because that made things alot quicker. today i filled up all for banks for a program and that took way to long going through each sample scrolling back in forth making sure it wasnt the same one i just put on the last pad. i miss that old function. its been missing since 3.0.

Ok, controlling the sample start and end times with qlink has just sent this OS over the top. You can record it right into the sequence and it plays back flawlessly.

incredible. I've been an mpc user since 98 and always wondered why Akai's os seems so behind what was happening software wise and with other samplers. I bought the 1000 because my 2000's screen died and I was tired of scsi devices for libraries. I was really upset at the poor bare bones OS as soon as I bought it. I felt a little better after they upgrade to 2.0 with some real time ability. Now, I'm floored by JJ's OS - he's really totally done some amazing things and I can't wait for what comes next.

Oh, what should come next? I think this is on his list but it would be great to see midi notes chromatically laid out in grid edit so you can easily edit your midi sequences.

Great job JJ,

i didn't try this feature by myself yet but it seems you cannot set Q1 as start point and Q2 as end point if i refer to the link pasted before.
hmmm it's not very clear

Doe, this looks like I gotta get back into the manual-creation-lab 1nce again ('')

I like this tautology a lot (haha):

This function is still included:
Go to the Load or Save screen and jump into the fiel where you select the Drive. Press [WINDOW] to enter the drive option screen. Here you can switch the 'assgin to pad window' ON or OFF... I think this is describes in my manual too...

someone rephrase the feature so i can understand it better,
I got as far as qlink slider to sample start, but afterwards recording right into a track flawlessly, whats that?
and is this for sample editing or for automation/ live manipulation efx?
