I have 3.06. Will I have to format my hard drive and CF when I upgrade? I formatted already using 3.06

incase you have any corrupt data on the cf, it would be a good idea to back it up and format it anyway as a percaution.

i just started to move everything off of my hd, it says its going to take 199 mins. that is some bs. i dont understand why akai would put a usb 1. whatever port on this machine in the year 2k something. that makes no sense to me.

i just dumped a bunch of shyt from the mpc to make the process faster. i had put a few gigs of one shots on there before i started messing with vinyl. that cut it down drastically. anybody know another way to transfer faster?

I dont think there is a faster way. Just start transfer and watch some UFC until it's done.
