Have not got the link, and before I posted that I went searching to be able to back it up. Couldn´t find it.
Although it was many months ago I´m pretty sure it was hosted on the Quannum site, there was a link from a newspage or something that led to this really plain looking page under the Quannum domain with lists and lists of samples. I went back and tried to find it but no luck.

And as stated before, Endtroducing is a truly great album, noone can take that away from Shadow no matter how many loops were used.

I actually won a makeshift contest and he sent some cd's and a signed 45 directly to my house a few months back.

i used to be on weightless forums non-stop. He would always pop in there and say whattup.

man i thought i was the only person to ever hear of rjd2. i was actully thinking about that today. since we last spoke made me want to produce! that album fvcked me up for real! so many layers and strange sounds and hard assed beats. and then i stumbled upon shadow entroducing. i have been trying to collect all of the recordings that both of them had put out. i have a dvd of shadow doing a show in europe. dude is a genius, loops or not. im sitting hear digging through these records and cant create anything close to that.

both of them cats are geniuses in my opinion. my question is, why the fvck is lil jon and all the other cookie cutters on the radio and these cats arent?

nah, i dont live in a box. i guess most people around here are into mainstream sh!t. which is another reason i find myself producing alone. we dont have an underground radio station here. well, we do but its a college station that barely comes in here in the cities. so on the radio you get rock, oldies, pop, hip pop, 80's and country and a few classical and jazz public radio stations. so if we're talking hip hop on the radio, you get money, cars, clothes, hoes and a drug song every once in a while. your everyday cookie cutter mainstram b.s.

is that the newest album? i read he went commercial. i cant be mad at him about trying to get heard, but i hope he comes back with another one like his other discs

I think the genius comes into play by having the ear for and selecting dope samples. I mean, how many of us have probably heard some of those samples and never thought of sampling them or using them like Shadow did.

Speaking of "You Can't Go Home Again" off The Private Press... that intro with the sort of flameco guitars that also repeats throughout the whole song.. i had heard that before.. (its by Paul Simon) its the intro to the track "El Condor Pasa". As soon as i heard YCGHA i thought.. damm why didnt i think of using that... thats what makes him a genius.. just because its a loop doesn't make it any less interesting or 'easy'.

I think he samples and loops brilliantly... he writes great arrangements and he can also program his a$$ off. I think 'The Outsider' - the new album is one of the best produced (in terms of production values not songs etc.. although i do like them too) albums going around.. its so loud and clear and rich and has great panning etc.
