Unfortunately, the answer to both of your questions is no. But eventually they will be shipped. Nodody knows when. Hopefully, Akai will look into the problem of why these card readers are defective (as more and more people are having this problem) and eliminate the problem using better components before the new shipment becomes available.

yeah there definitely is. so considering you've read that thread (and I'm glad you decided to help yourself by taking my suggestion), I'll be more than willing to help you make a decision. :)

So here's some questions...

1. How much hard drive space would you prefer, and how much would you be willing to spend?

2. Do you shop online, or just strictly from a store?

3. Where are you located?

After answering those questions, I'll be able to help you out further. 8)

A decent amount, producing is getting pretty serious for me right now.

2. Do you shop online, or just strictly from a store?

Both.

3. Where are you located?

Vancouver, BC

No kiddin.. When you're stuck in Oslo Norway you gotta handle things the old school way. The Mpc is like my little kid, so I'm aloud to smack it up a little :D

Damn... i was hoping you were located in the US, since I know that newegg.com has really good prices on the Toshiba 40gb drive that's recommended by Akai. I checked last night, and the price dropped down drastically to like $47.99 (or somewhere in that range). But I didnt find any info about shipping to Canada. Do a search on froogle.com for the recommended hard drives and theyre availablity in Canada. I got my hands tied right now, so I can't help other than to point you in that direction .
