How to Re-sample on the MPC4000BL Plus?

Hey dudes.

Simple question I gues?

How do I edit a sample with the MPC4000BL Plus? I live recorded a voice sample into the MPC, but there's a part of the start the I don't want from the sample. I tried to re-sample it with the SEQ EDIT by changing the Start point and over write the existing file, but when I turn back to the Main window and play the sample, nothing has changed. I even tried to keep it as a new sample and also make a new program and save the sample within the new program, but nothing changes. It still plays the full sample I recorded the first time.

All I want is to cut off 5 seconds from the beginning of the sample.

Anyone out there who knows how to do that on the MPC4000BL Plus?
