I'll add my support to the call for practice and experimentation - it's the only way to improve. Think about what you'd like to achieve, listen to other music with that in mind - spot things you'd like to be able to do and then try to work out how they were done.
Having said that, you say that you can't really do what you want with the turntable and MPC. What is it that you want to do? Someone suggested picking up a vinyl turntable instead. If you want that record turntable sound, then yes that would probably be a good idea. If you want a cleaner sound for your samples, then probably your CD deck is just fine.
Only when you know what you want to do and have figured out what elements are missing from your music should you think about picking up more stuff. Otherwise you'll just waste your money.
