well i'm beat, stumped, this shits given me a migrain.... can anyone tell me if the steps i've listed above are correct so that i'll know whether it's the mp or me, which since everything else is working i'm assuming it's me
and if by chance the steps i listed aren't correct please some one let me know what mistake i'm making.

thanks

sounds like this should be working. try the other qlink slider to make sure you don't have a busted qlink

sorry i didn't respond sooner, ive been pretty busy. hopefully we can get you up and running with these things so you're ready for the next big thing

How long is the sample?...you will have to wait for the sample to end before you will hear any changes to the end point. What i mean is you will only hear the changes each time the sample has finished playing and has looped over again.

thanks for chimin in yall, .... so when you say I have to wait for the sample to end before I hear anything do you mean 'a recorded sequence has to end' or just the sample that i'm triggering. see I haven't tried to record anything really, i've mostly been just trying to set it up so that I know this sht is working.
basicly i'm sampling a small piece of a rap verse and the i'm pressing the pad that it's on while at the same time moving the Q-link slider and nothing is happening.

I've tried setting the qlink to realtime, and to note on,
I've setting it to effect all pads and setting it to just the pad that the sample is on.
i'm just not getting anywhere, scoured you tube and seems like the qlink is the only thing there isn't a vid for, I wish spark had made one i'm feeling very Q-link challenged right about now :?

I'm pretty sure your sliders are broken then. If you get it fixed let me know what you did though cuz right now mine are also busted..

you know I think my shit is broke i'm **** pissed all the trouble i've gone through, i just came from a cats house and he showed me and i believe i've been doing things write. I know some of you cats on here fix mpcs and shit does anyone know what this would cost,??, in the mean time i'm going to install the akai os and see if that works, this cat that just showed me his mpc is using the akai os, at least i'll know for sure then. :x

By stale bread Sun Nov 12, 2006 7:06 am
only other question i have is is there any other place in the os that the Q-link has to be set to on or something or any other parameter elswhere in the os that has to be set a certain way for it to act write.
anywhere outside of the 'mode+slider' menu page????

By stale bread Sun Nov 12, 2006 7:38 am
ok i installed the latest akai os and shit is still the same so i think my shit is broke, , , , not happy.

what's it gonna cost me to fix this shit

hi dude, I think for the start time thing to work, it has to be set from "realtime" to "note on".
If you have it set to affect the tune and you don't hear any changes then maybe your qLink is messed up, or maybe try turning off the 2nd qLink to get it working.
good luck!
