Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

whud up,my down cursor button just went out the other day on my mpc2000 and was wondering if anybody knew how to fix this.because this one spot is going to charge me around 200 bucks to fix it so im straight on that.well if you fixed a button or cleaned it out an got it working again let me know whats up,or any tips that i could use in fixing it would be real helpful too.thanks,peace.

call nick at vst and order the button, then solder it in. very easy process and a VERY good thing to know how to do. the button encoders are cheap, too - like 8 bucks for the little piece that goes under the plastic and 10 bucks for a soldering iron and some solder.

18 bucks and less than an hour or 200 bucks plus shipping/shipping insurance and 2 weeks of not having an mpc...

thanks for the helpful advice.Just to be sure,im going to need to buy the button and the button encoder,correct?
If its not a big hassle,do you know the steps im going to need to do to solder it?like first place this an then do this....or is it pretty much common sense?

if your plastic button isn't broken itself, you only need to buy the piece underneath that gets soldered on.
