Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

:) Hey wasup everybody.
really need help on converting Wav files into Snd files so i can load up more samples on my MPC 2000XL.

can anyone help me on this and tell me wat software should i use to get the job done?

as long as the wav's are 16 bit you shouldnt have an issue. i use the xl & i never convert to snd. in fact, i never even deal with the snd format

My classic loads .wav's fine, maybe you need to downgrade

I use a program called "wavsnd" not all the wav's can be converted straight I had to strip the info tags off first using "stripwav". Hope this works and/or helps you.

mpceditor can convert snd to wave by exporting programs in mpc2000 format. The mpc2000xl can do this too. But why would you want to? You're really not going to be able to load more samples at a time. I've heard that snd files load more quickly, but I've never noticed much of a difference.

thank alot peeps i've down graded the wav files on sound forge to 16 bit and using mpc editor transfer on to zip works great... forget snd file
