some times i make a beat just on my mpc not hooked up to my pc or motif and when im finished i wan put breaks and drops in but if you lay out your beat as a song then u cant mute tracks and things of that sort what im trying to find out is how do u take a 2 seq beat and make it a full (song) with breaks and drops?.... do i have to copy the seq and make the drops there? and then progam it into the song or is there a easier way to do it on the fly? i know there is recordable track mutes but will this help me and how do you use the recordable track mutes on a song?

(what im trying to do is track my beat into my pc after i make the beat on my mp with out having to do all the editing there i wana recod it and burn it to cd with no editing done on pc)

Probably the best way to do this is just to create the sequences the way you want them to sound. Since you are trying to avoid this you can use the step edit and remove all the items that you dont want at a certain point in the song (This could be a whole lot of work if you have a lot of tracks). A third method is just the use the erase feature of the mpc...Figure out what time/point of the bar you want to have your drop then erase all of the pad performances at that point in time. If you have the new os you can also go into the grid edit and remove all of the pad performance in there (again it's a lot of work)...If it were me i would just create the sequences...There may be more methods but these are all i know of.
