Totally down

I had planned to eventually upgrade to a 2.5k based on pads alone, but if this all goes down I may just have to keep my good ol 1000.

Akai- we want to give you money, just don't Fvck up again with the pad design!

excellent idea. i am 100% in.
i recently opened an old 2kxl, the pad design is beautifull!!
i would definetly pay good money for similar pads for the 1k.
(my 1k's pads are starting to wear off, slowly but surely :( )

distortedtekno: what is your plan ? shall we email akai individualy, or will you wait and pass the whole thread to them once there ae lots of answers ?

cheers :)

something needs to happen. this would be the last step of the 1k takeover. if this gets implemented, this thing would really kick the collective ass of every hardware sampler ever created.

bought the 1kbk and three pads were half a%& from the start. i would love to get a better response and not have buy three more plagued pads and NO i WON'T buy the 2500 cuz why bother
"once burned"
so if this don't work out i just won't touch another akai product. I'm actually thinkin of movin to a m-audio pad and software if this don't work out. tha 500 has functional pads;puhhhleeeazzzzzzzzee

im all in.

akai is more or less obligated to fix this problem, we paid for a working product!! and i want my hard earned moneys worth.

has any one ever thought of why the mp 1000 is the only one with separated pads? maybe they are ment to brake? shame on you AKAI.

but im willing to forgive you and also give you more money.

allllll they need to do is put an order in for the exact same thing as the 500 pads just with one more row.

Yeah, but not exactly.

From all I've read on the mpc500 forum, those pads need an "extra push".
That was never an issue with the 60, 60II, 3000, 2000, 2000xl, 4000, or the 2500.

This is why I suggested the importance of the design method in detail a few days ago (on page 4 of this topic).
