i have fruity loops, acid pro, adobe audition(cool edit) and i was wondering if you can use the mpc with these programs?

the hardware i have is a soundblaster external soundcard
m-audio uno midi interface
and a dell laptop

what are the steps for me too actually work all these programs together? thanks

its as easy as running from the outs of the mpc to the ins of your soundcard. if you have fl studio, you need to go to the mixer and set the input of the track that you want to record to whatever input the mp is running to.

ex: run your two instrument lines from the mpc main outs to the souncards inputs 1 and 2

go into fl studio and open the mixer, set the input to track 1,2.

thats it.

you could have figured it out by reading either the fl manual or the mpc manual. its pretty basic audio routing.

i have a regular dj mixer, will that work? or do i need one of those 16 channel mixers? and what wires to i need too connect from the mixer too the sound card too the mpc?

he was talking about the mixer on the fruity loops program.

If you wanted to use your dj mixer, you would use the 4 individual outputs provided on the MPC, and plug those into the mixer. Just get 1/4" to RCA cables, and then an RCA to 1/8th to plug into your soundcard.
