You can play the sounds of ANY midi instrument with a midi in port. Just go midi out of mpc to midi in of said device. In the track section of the MPC, set it to route to midi (instead of drum) and then the midi channel of said device. Usually this is set to 1 out of the box, but can usually be changed, so you may need to go through the devices settings to be sure. Then you can play and even record sequenced notes from the MPC that control your synth.

If so How should I configure the midi setup?

Yes you can play the keys of the microkorg from the XL, but not very effectively. Nonetheless, like McSmooth mentioned, it can be done (yes, from the main screen).

why people wanna play syths with mpc pads? its like playing a syth with real drums... the mpc is for percussive sounds and samples, let the keys do the melody

I want to record the the keys into a sequence,, and then tweak the settings on the mikrokorg after recorded the sequence..

and regarding the talk about the mpc should only do drums... that's just limiting the creativity.
