chill jah, hes only makin a point, i agree to a certain extent, because, what has changed to the harddrive? if you are installing the new OS, off your mem stick for example, and its installed new hardware, it should never effect anything that is on the hd, everything on the hd should be read the exact same way it was before you installed the OS. You not agree with that?

If both Akai..and I believe JJ as well, state to format reformat the hard drive, they obviously know what they are talking about.

So..don't format you hard drive if you don't want to.
