Have you guys ever been pressed on vinyl?

I was just wondering if anyone has everhad anything pressed on vinyl and if so how much did it cost? I know many independent labels make vinyl do they have some kind of machine they bought or do they order them? Im asking because a long time ago my band had some stuff pressed but it was in mexico years ago.

my homie Godbout was in a band that had they album pressed on vinyl. colored vinyl at that. I think the record label paid for it for them, but i could find out for ya how much it was. The Hardcore bands in mass (and probably everywhere else) flowers with vinyl big time. its dope

Yeah the band i was in was a ska punk band and i always see them at harcore punk shows being sold

NO ...i hhavent made vinyl yet but i'm trying to get some shi+ together and i want to press it to viynl,that always been my dream. i had posted a thread on this a while back and posted a company that does it , i have this mag called the perfomer in my store and there's a spot in there that will press a djpromo pack for 799 for 100 black disc(vinyl) thats about goin raTE THESE DAYS,
but i would uimage if you go to one of these indie labels they may cut you some sort of deal with dist/pressing and some kind of press kit.

not to mant places sellin vinyl but if you press one let me know i'll carry it in my store IT HAS TO BE VINYL THO I DONT SELL CD'S

I don't plan on doing anything right now i was just curious to see, as I am considering it in the near future

double check with the plant there is certain things that have to be done diffrent from a cd master and a vinyl master that you should take into account.

word i heard some dont press samples inless you have clearence.

thats why you should search on this froum i had posted up the label for dirtstyle records and a few others

Well i was refering to things like heavy bass cuts wider grooves and therefore leaves you with less playtime on the vinyl and things like that should be considered its not like a cd where 10 min = 10 min on vinyl it actually depends on the sound being cut.

Yeah you've gotta be careful with your bass when mastering for vinyl. It's a lot more essential that the main bass energy be in the centre for vinyl.

thats why there's not so many engineers left for vinyl recording

anyone can record to CD but vinyl is another thing . thats what people dont understand that vinyl is a work of art the person who's recording the vinyl plus the artist thats being recorded to vinyl and a master piece of art comes out as a blaq slab of vinyl with grooves,

man i love records the best thing ever created.

that and a cutting stylus costs around 200,000.00 its a art form i respect alot. to little energy you dont get a good cut , to much and your out 200,000.00 lol.

czech press baby! don't know how many, label releases. my stuff has been released on vinyl (skratching with various groups mostly) numerous times.
