King of the Beats won wit a MV8000

I still go to MV Nation and evidently Beat-hoven from LA, using a MV8000 won the King of the Beats contest. De-throned Jus Blaze and a long list of MPC users. I ended up trading my MV after creating my first track on my MPC. I'm not goin back yet. I don't care what the MV users say, the MPC provides a pop in the kicks and snares that I just couldn't produce out of the MV. I have a long history of using hardware samples, primarily Ensoniqs (EPS and ASR10) but the MPC just sounds better to me. And the sequencer is no-frills. Don't fuk wit it. Jus let it ride and joints come out bouncin. I'm a drummer by training so the joints just bounce. But I just wanted to let chall know dem MV dudes gonna be coming out to closet wit dat king a da beats shiit. One.

although i never put in work on a mv 8000 other than a store demo i just like you have been using hardware sampler sequencer for years ensonic eps 16,kurzweil k2vx,triton studio and now mpc 2500, my 1st mpc and i have to say for me nothing compares to the work flow and sequencing on the mpc 2500 so i still wouldnt think about trading it for any work station out there they can have that mv8000. then again its not what you use its how you use it.

You do know that the actual producer won the contest? Owning a drum machine does not make you talented.

Talent and skill IS what its about jarome. I remember talkin with KRS One once and him stating that its ALL about skill. Ask Milli Vanilli! I know that the producer won it and not the machine. I've heard some nice joints on the MV. I made some myself. But even the users on the MV Nation site will declare that the machines are different, especially the sound and sequencer. Workflow is different too. I was just posting y'all up on the info about King of the Beat. One.

I just got finished listening to the Game and Jay-Z's new CDs. Just Blaze is on several tracks. I think losing King of the Beat is the last thing on his mind......

At this point in his career, Just Blaze doesn't have to prove anything to anyone. So some new cat beat Just in a contest, big deal. Jordan was still great after these new kids came up and excelled the game.

lol.. Just Blaze wasn't in the contest. Just a judge as far as i know. He just had to re-track a earlier statement about the MV thats all people.

It seems that no one that read this thread was interested enough to look into the contest. I never heard of it. Was this something that we should know about?
