I haven't heard of anything like that. Are the programs that you are using, the ones you've created yourself? Maybe they're pre-made programs that are supposed to trigger 4 pads at a time? If you've done a re-install of the OS, it might be a hardware problem. Though after working regularly for sometime, I can't see how this can just appear out of nowhere (you didn't just drop it recently, did you?).

I had this problem a couple of times too , but it seems to have mysteriously dissapeared. :?
I just reinstalled 1.21 and after a few restarts it was gone , now i'm back on 1.22 and haven't had the problem for a long time now.

Sorry so late but I had this issue. the same exact issue. Do a reset. Hold down erase as you power on. After you do so then turn off the MPC again then turn it back on. Problem Solved. If this do not fix it send it back. I had a long post on this and all it took was just that. Never had a problem since. (knock on wood)

Damn just read the rest of this Im too late you already sent it back. At least you got a new MPC. AWESOME 8)
