A used OTARI RADAR ( any version ... later versions are a lot more workstation like in operation )
A Used Korg XD32 with Analogue Comp boards.
A Used AKAI DR16PRO ( if you didn't need CD-burning or workstation type features )
A Used FOSTEX D160 with I/O option upgrades ( if you didn't need CD-burning or workstation type features )
Roland VS ? Depends on which model. As long as you get one that allows it's space saving data compression record and play modes to be disabled. So that a decent no loss recording and playback can be experienced.
There are plenty more. These are ones I have used regularly. Just my opinion. Hope it helps.
